What to expect…

The Pre-Visit

Booking with a new stylist can be exciting — and maybe even a little nerve-wracking — I totally get it!
Once you book your appointment, you’ll receive a few helpful text messages:
• One right away to confirm your spot
• One 48 hours before your appointment
• And a final reminder 1 hour before your start time

In the meantime, please fill out my digital consultation form. It helps me get a feel for your current hair, your goals, and what you're hoping to achieve, so I can make sure your first visit is a perfect fit!

Arriving to the salon

Finding Us at Lux the Salon
We’re located at 125 Ashman St, Suite 1 in Midland, MI 48640 — right in the heart of downtown Midland!

Here’s how to find us:
Look for our main entrance on Ashman street directly across from Whichcraft Taproom — you can see our LUX logo on the window out front! Enter the hallway on Ashman street, and we are the first door on the left. We’re right next to many local shops and cafes (Coyer Candle, FILL, Espresso Milano & Proper Taco), making it the perfect spot to treat yourself before or after your appointment.

Where to park:
Free street parking is available right in front of the salon, and there’s also a public parking lot nearby for your convenience. If you're coming during a busier time, give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot and stroll over.

How to Arrive for Your Appointment
For the best results, please arrive with clean, dry hair — washed within the last 24 hours if possible. Product buildup, oils, and heavy dry shampoo can affect how color processes and how well I can assess your hair’s condition.

Don’t worry about styling it — I just need it down and in its natural state (no braids, buns, or ponytails) so I can get a clear look at your texture, length, and color.

Your hair doesn’t need to be freshly blown out — just clean, dry, and down is perfect!

Time for goodbye

At the end of your appointment, we’ll chat about your next steps.
If you'd like to prebook your next maintenance visit to stay on schedule, we can take care of that before you leave. If you'd rather wait, no problem at all — when you're ready, you can easily hop onto my online booking and choose a time that works best for you.
